The examination for anyone younger than 15 consists of the following:

  • A physical examination
  • A TB skin test
  • Review and update of all routine pediatric immunizations.
  • No blood test is typically required

Tuberculosis Skin Test (PPD)

A PPD skin test will be performed at the time of your first visit. You must return to the office in 48 - 72 hours to have the test checked by our staff. The test is considered positive if redness or swelling greater than 5mm develops at the injection site. If the test is positive, you are required to have a chest x-ray.
